2016 Empties (and almost empties)

empties

Since we aren’t so far into the year just yet I thought I’d share with you all my 2016 empties, besides January is just a practice run anyways, right! These are the products I have finished up so far this year. A few of them were my travel essentials while I was in Vietnam so it’s no surprise that they are all used up!

♥Batiste Dry Shampoo (tropical) this is a travel essential and a life essential, I seriously couldn’t get by without it. I’ve tried other dry shampoo brands and they are never even half as good. I stock up on these when they are on sale as I do go through them quite fast, it’s a small price to pay for washing my hair less though!

♥ GlamGlow YouthMud Tinglexfoliate Treatment I purchased this because I was really missing my original GlamGlow favourite, the SuperMud Clearing Treatment, which is still hard to get in New Zealand due to a banned substance (you can read more about that here). It’s nice but pretty rough, even for an exfoliator and I found that it drys up in the pottle really quick too and becomes harder to use and spread on your face. I won’t buy this again and will instead continue my search for the SuperMud.

♥ Urban Decay All-nighter Makeup Setting spray this stuff is sooo good! No matter what it keeps my makeup in place for hours upon hours. An added bonus is that it doesn’t smell yuk or make your face feel like it’s covered in superglue. In the past I’ve used the oil control version of this spray but I actually think this ‘long lasting’ one is a better all rounder. Just be weary that it will make your non-waterproof mascara run, leave that till the very last after your face has dried from the spray.

♥ Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Liner (intense black) if you want a liner which will last all day, look crisp but also wash off easily when it’s time to go to bed then this is perfect for you. This liner drys easily and never smudges even through buckets and buckets of tears (self tested). The only thing is that it’s not best for liner learners as you need a bit of technique to work the flexible pen tip. As it got older the tip frayed a little making it a bit harder to use, however I still love it and have already repurchased one in ‘midnight’.

♥ Olive Pomegranate Body Wash I was very lucky to get an Olive gift pack for Christmas and I’m going to have to get some more for myself. It smells so nice, lathers up really well, moisturises and is NZ made. Another huge bonus is that it’s cruelty free and doesn’t have any nasty ingredients. I’d also recommend the body moisturiser which goes along with it.

♥ Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Clear Face Sunblock I seem to use a lot of different sunblocks on my body but this is the only one I use on my face. Being breakout prone the thought of having to put some thick, pore clogging, oily product on my face is a thing of nightmares. The Ultra Sheer Clear Face block is specifically made for breakout prone skin and is therefore super lightweight, non-comedogenic and oil free. It’s so important to protect ourselves from the sun so I am happy to have found something I don’t mind using all the time. It also works fine under makeup too.

♥ Ben and Jerry’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream It’s finally in NZ and after a few visits to Sal’s Pizza I got my hands on a tub….. or two. It is soooooo good! I’ve been craving cookie dough flavoured ice cream for the longest time, but nobody does it here in NZ, so my prayers have been answered. The chocolate brownie flavour is also boss as. Now can we please have Dairy Queen and a Baskin and Robins in NZ? Thanks!

Are you using any of these products at the moment? What do you think of them??
