Holika Holika Baby Silky Foot One Shot Peeling

Holika Holika Baby Silky Foot One Shot Peeling

The Baby Silky Foot One Shot Peeling by Holika Holika (a popular Korean beauty brand) is described as a “seven day miracle”. The idea is that this product will help remove all the dead skin from your feet and leave baby silky feet behind. I love Korean beauty products and this is so out of the box compared to other treatments I’ve seen for removing dead skin that I had to give it a try!

The box comes with two sachets, one for each foot and little double layered booties. The instructions tell you to put on the booties, pour the liquid from each pack into the corresponding bootie and then let it soak away on your feet for one and a half hours. At first I thought that there was no way I’d be able to handle wearing these things around for that long, however it was surprisingly fine! They have little ties which you can use to kind of close and tie up the boot around your ankle and nothing leaks or seeps through the material. You can walk around gently in them no problem, which of course feels pretty strange at first.

Once my time was up I removed the booties and rinsed my feet with soap and water. Nothing looked any different but my feet did feel quite dry. Although the dry feeling went away after an hour or so, nothing changed, even after three days. But OMG suddenly on the fourth day after I had used it I realised it was really doing something to my feet.

Over night the skin on the bottom of my feet went from a little dry kind of scaly patch here and there to thick dead skin literally crumbling off my feet. It was insane, like one of those things that is so yuk but you want to keep watching. I have never seen so much peeling dry skin in my life. The box instructs you to just let it come off naturally and not to pick or pull. So I left it, however I was feeling pretty self conscious wearing jandals.

That stage lasted three days, dead skin everywhere. I would have to empty socks, wipe out shoes and couldn’t have bare feet without leaving a trail. I started to wonder if it was actually that healthy? After that stage all the peeling horror stopped quite abruptly and it was kind of weird to have normal feet again. I took this opportunity to give my feet a bit of a soak and scrub them gently with a bit of pumice (it was like the final purge). Seven and a half days after first wearing those little boots and the skin on my feet is the softest it has ever been, it feels like my feet are all brand new! There is a visible difference and the skin on my feet feels really good.

Baby Silky Foot

In hindsight it was a little traumatic and also it was hard feeling uncomfortable in sandals when it is too damn hot to wear any other footwear right now. But it was also amazing and it clearly makes a difference. I’m not sure if I would do it again anytime soon, I might end up with no skin on my feet. I would however definitely be keen to include this as a yearly thing maybe at the end of summer or winter when my feet are needing some TLC. The Holika Holika Baby Silky Foot One Shot Peeling is a must do either just as a novelty to see what happens or to seriously get rid of every piece of dead skin you’ve ever had on them.
