I went shopping on the weekend and ended up with this Big Bucket Sale haul. The last few Big Bucket Sales I’ve been to have been so disappointing, and although this one wasn’t like the good old days I did managed to find a few goodies. I was excited to find the Batiste Dry Shampoo because I practically live off this stuff. The other products were just things that sparked my interest!
This Big Bucket Sale was in Westgate in Auckland running from the 17th to the 21st of August. For once everything was really tidy and nicely organised. There was also quite a big range of products, there was makeup, hair care, perfumes, health and body products, jewellery and even some Victoria’s Secret dressing gowns.
I stocked up on three different scents of the Batiste Dry Shampoo, this stuff is the best for keeping my hair oil free on it’s second day. When I see it cheap I always buy a few because I go through it really quickly. I am a big fan of the ‘brilliant blonde’ type as the colour of it kind of covers ups and blends in my darker roots which I have at the moment. They were $9 each which is cool because they are $11 at Kmart.
This is my current dry shampoo stock! I’m three quarters of the way through the ‘clean and classic original’
I grabbed the Simple Micellar Cleansing Wipes because I’m almost out of my current wipes. I feel like makeup remover wipes are one of those essentials that you always need to have, whether it’s for after a big late night, before the gym or when you just want to freshen your face up. I don’t use them a lot as I prefer to really properly cleanse my face, but I’m always so happy to have a pack when I need a quick wipe.
The Miss Manga by Voluminous Mascara from L’Oreal is something I’ve seen quite a bit at these kinds of sales and always been interested to try. So today I finally took the plunge and bought it. I haven’t actually read or seen any reviews of it but the cute packaging really caught my eye I guess. Also, I used to absolutely hate those flexible mascara brushes but after trialling one recently by Arbonne I’m more into them.
Although I’m not really sure how these Anti-wrinkle Cool Eyes patches are going to go, I thought they would be worth a try for 2 bucks. You chill them in the fridge before applying one under each eye and leaving for 30-50 minutes. I sometimes get a bit of under eye puffiness, so I’m keen to see if these help at all. The one pack has two re-usable pairs in it which is pretty sweet value.
My last grab before hitting the checkout was this TIGI PRO conditioner. It was only $20 and I’m really into buying bigger pump style shampoo and conditioner bottles since buying my last Joico products. It’s just easier and I’m not dashing to the supermarket suddenly when I realise I’m at the bottom of my conditioner.
I was pretty happy with my purchases and the bargain price it all ended up being! Have you been to any Big Bucket Sales recently?
