Lush Snow Fairy Body Conditioner

The Lush Snow Fairy Body Conditioner is a new release for the Lush 2016 Christmas collection. Snow Fairy has been one of my favourite scents since way back which means I have always been super excited for the Christmas range to come out. The Body Conditioner product is something I’m also a fan of, so this is in my opinion a perfect combination! Continue reading

Trick or Treat! Halloween Makeup ideas

halloween Trick or Treat is the theme of these awesome Halloween makeup ideas – will you go for something cute, sweet and be a total treat? Or are you going to go all out scary in a quick trick? I’ll be honest I am the type of person who usually goes for fairies, witches or cute animals but all the amazing SFX work I’ve seen lately is making me want to turn to the dark side.  Continue reading

Kailijumei lipstick

Kailijumei flower lipstick

My Kailijumei Lipstick finally arrived! Can you believe there’s a real flower inside this?! These lipsticks, which come in a range of four shades, are definitely some of the prettiest and most unique lipsticks I have ever seen. The clear, almost jelly-look product is full of little gold flecks with what is said to be a real flower at the base. On contact with your skin the lipstick changes to its shade. Which in my case is ‘Barbie Doll Powder’, a glossy light pink. Continue reading

Why everyone is so obsessed with Korean Beauty products

korean beauty products

Everyone is so obsessed with Korean Beauty products! And I can easily see why! It’s not that they are new on the scene, in fact Korean beauty brands have been creating break through products and starting trends for years. However, products which were originally created for Asian markets are now more accessible and in huge demand all over the world. I’ve been dabbling myself in Korean beauty products and trends for a little while now after seeing them pop up online, discovering a few great K-beauty online stores and also shopping up a storm during my Asia holidays. So, if you aren’t quite sure what all the hype is about I’m about to fill you in faster than you can fill up a shopping cart of Tony Moly.  Continue reading

The Best Beauty Instagram Accounts

insta

Today I’m sharing my pick of the best beauty Instagram accounts. I look to Instagram for inspiration, information and just general prettiness. I love scrolling through different accounts and seeing what’s new, what’s coming soon and what everyone is up to. Here are my favourite beauty related Instagram accounts at the moment, these are accounts I check almost each day (and sometimes several times a day) for a dose of Instagram inspo! No Buy July

Online shopping

This month I found myself unintentionally involved in No Buy July. A time of the year where people use a cute rhyme to try and stop spending so much money or ban themselves from buying particular items. I’ve never really thought to get involved in one of these month goal things because I believe if you want to do something or change something then there’s no better time than now. Also, imagine having to wait to start a goal until a month came around which you could rhyme with! But, at the start of the month without realising it, I declared to myself and a few friends that I wasn’t buying any makeup this month – and accidental No Buy July begun.  Continue reading

Feather touch brow tattooing

Feather Touch Brow Tattooing

Feather Touch Brow Tattooing is a big beauty trend right now. Like many other people I dreamt of having perfect eyebrows with minimal fiddling around every morning. I had been interested in brow tattooing for awhile but images of badly done and very fake looking eye brows freaked me out. This is what lead me to Feather Touch. It’s brow tattooing which is done not as a bold filled in block, but as small strokes to mimic individual hairs. The results can be varied depending on the individual, whether you are just wanting fuller brows or need a total brow reconstruction. After four sessions my brows are complete and looking more on point than ever! I’ve had a lot of interest and questions about the feather touch tattooing process, so today I am going to answer some commonly asked questions and let you know about my experience.  Continue reading

How I’m fixing my damaged hair

Blonde hair goals

In the last few months I decided to stop lusting over hair goals and firstly, start focusing on how I’m going to fix my damaged hair. Years of home and salon bleaching in a range of blonde, white and grey shades has left my hair pretty damaged. My mid-lengths to ends are dry, my roots are oily and I have broken hair around my ears and right under at the nape of my neck from over bleaching. By adding a few extra products to my hair routine and changing some habits I have managed to help a lot of the damage. My goal is to really work on the areas of damage so I can go white blonde for summer (and probably ruin it all over again.) Continue reading

Colourpop Haul using YouShop

IMG_1588

Last week I had a Colourpop haul arrive via YouShop. I decided to use YouShop to ship my Colourpop products to NZ because the Colourpop shipping price was way too expensive! There were mixed reviews online about whether using YouShop would actually end up any cheaper, and I was a little concerned about the length of time the package would take to get to me. After a few tiny hiccups however, I have a bunch of new beautiful Colourpop products to play with.  Continue reading
