COLAB Dry Shampoo is a new product which boasts a unique sheer + invisible formula. I am a huge dry shampoo addict due to my oily hair and love of sleeping in, so I jumped at the chance to try this out!
To me a good dry shampoo is a product which absorbs any oil in my hair quickly, gives a nice subtle scent and doesn’t leave any suspicious looking white powder in my hair. COLAB dry shampoo uses a very fine grade of starch which means you don’t get any residue or dandruff looking white powder falling out of your hair during the day. Another bonus of this lighter and finer dry shampoo is that it works better for darker hair.
I am pretty addicted to my regular dry shampoo brand Batiste, however I have definitely noticed a difference using COLAB. I can get a bit of product build up with my regular dry shampoo which sometimes makes my head a little itchy, with the COLAB Sheer + invisible I haven’t had any of this. You can see when you spray the product into your hair that the mist is a lot lighter and it disappears into your hair instantly. This is good for me as I like my dry shampoo to work fast!
I tried the ‘Monaco’ spray and it’s a nice fresh and subtle scent, nothing super fancy but nothing irritating either. The COLAB range currently comes in three scents and two sizes. I’ve used my COLAB for about two weeks now and I’ve happily noticed that there is still heaps left in the can (I usually go through dry shampoo sooo quickly). With the largest sized can retailing at $17, it’s a little more expensive than my usual, but it’s clear I get more use out of it so I’d say it probably balances out.
This is a product I’ll definitely purchase in the future. I really like how light the formula is and also that it’s pretty economical compared to other dry shampoos I’ve tried.
COLAB Dry Shampoo is available now in pharmacies, 200ml $17.00 and 50ml $7.99
