My Colourpop X Hello Kitty haul is finally here! Okay, and yes I got a few other bits and pieces too! The new limited edition collection went live on the 1st of November (Hello Kitty’s birthday) and some of the range is still currently in stock. There is a selection of lip, eye and face products in the collection along with a super cute makeup bag. I grabbed the ‘Mama’s Apple Pie’ eyeshadow quad set, two of the lip products and the ‘School is Fun’ highlighter from the Hello Kitty Collection. I also bought two super shock shadows and a new brow pencil to try out.
Mama’s Apple Pie includes the following four shadows, ‘Rainbow’, ‘Friendship File’, ‘Small Gift’ and ‘School Bus’. I love the packaging of the quad and also how each individual shadow has Hello Kitty on them. ‘Rainbow’ which is a pearly white with silver and pink glitter and ‘Friendship File’, a metallic finish beige with silver and pink glitter, are my two favourites. I don’t have a coral pink or a midnight blue (the other two shades) in my eye shadow collection so this quad has worked out well for me.
The lippie stix in the shade ‘Konichiwa’ caught my eye immediately as it is such a pretty light berry shade. I’m already a fan of Colourpop’s lippie stix formula (you can see my other haul here) and this one is no exception, creamy, hydrating and it smells delicious! ‘Lock Diary‘ is an Ultra Satin liquid lip product, it’s a saturated fuchsia and to me is one of those perfect autumn berry shades. This is the first Satin lip product I’ve brought from Colourpop as I am usually more of a matte fan, but so far I really like the finish on this.
My final Hello Kitty purchase was the ‘School is Fun’ highlighter. This shade is a soft shimmery gold and it is so pretty! You have to lightly pat this on to the top of your cheekbones to get a subtle shimmer which is perfect for summer.
Overall, I really like the Hello Kitty X Colourpop collection! It’s pretty, fun and cute and I really hope both companies do more of this kind of thing. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the collection if you also picked up some of the goodies.
Just to finish off, for all of you who are die-hard Hello Kitty Fans like me, here’s a shot of my afternoon tea in the official Hello Kitty House Cafe in Bangkok! By far the coolest cafe I have ever been to!
