Drug Store.com haul + YouShop updated review

drugstore haulDrugstore.com is an American website which sells mainly health, fitness and beauty products including a huge range of make up brands at super decent prices. Overall the prices even after paying for YouShop shipping and changing currency are still cheaper than if I went down the road to buy the product, and that’s even without using a discount code or shopping in a sale. If you are starting to feel a little itch of excitement after reading that sentence then you are definitely in the right place… read on friend!

drugstore.com is also connected with beauty.com which stocks higher end make up brands such as Smashbox and NARS  – you can shop from both sites with one cart.

My haul consisted of the following products: an Olay ProX advanced cleaning system, a limited edition EOS spring pack with 2 lip balms, 1 Wet n Wild mega last lip colour in ‘Ravin’ Raisin’, 2 Maybelline mascaras (The Falsies spoon brush, my everyday mascara and Colossal cat eyes to give a go), 2 Maybelline Baby Skin pore easer primers and a Zapzyt acne treatment gel.

baby skinSome of those were planned and some spontaneous purchases. I had been wanting to add to my Wet n Wild lipstick collection so threw that in, the Olay cleaning system was what my mum asked for as her Mother’s Day gift and I can’t live a day without my EOS and my Falsies mascara so I thought I’d top up my supply. I had heard amazing things about the Colossal cat eyes mascara and the Baby Skin primer and they were just too affordable to not end up in my cart. Heard of the Zapzyt acne gel before? Nah? Me neither! However, it is drugstore’s most popular acne treatment so I decided it was worth a try. Since I won’t be doing a single review on it, I’ll let you know now that it is really great so far and working much better than my previously used benzoyl peroxide creams.

Shipping was free as I had spent over $35 which was awesome, my only gripe would be that it took a long time for the site to process and ship my order to my YouShop warehouse address. From memory it was about a week and a half =(

YouShop contacted me the day the parcel arrived at the warehouse and as usual I paid straight away, the total shipping cost was $26. My parcel was shipped from America on the 10th of May and I had it on my door step first thing in the morning on the 16th. Everything was safe and sound and my smile was the size of the sun! Although I am tempted to try out a new shipping company (I’ve heard fab things about Shipitto) – YouShop hasn’t failed me yet and there’s something trust worthy about using an                                    NZ company.

I am looking at doing another drugstore haul soon with some more Maybelline and some L’Oreal products – does anyone have any product recommendations for me?

  • Definitely will be doing an order from here, really wanting to try the Baby Skin as my Porefessional has run out. Can you use your NZ address as biling, or did you just use your YouShop?

    • I am still really liking Maybellines Baby Skin Primer – I definitely recommend giving it a try, especially at the cheap price! I use my YouShop address as my billing as well as my shipping address. Some websites don’t like it if those addresses don’t match

      • Thanks so much, literally just made an order, can’t wait!

        • Let me know how you go with it! =)

  • I’d been wanting to youshop some stuff from drugstore.com but hadn’t heard of anyone else doing it so this makes me really want to now! If I purchase stuff from drugstore.com AND beauty.com will they come in the same order? If so, I am definitely gonna give it a go!! How do you like your EOS balms anyways? I’m dying to try them!

    • Lately drugstore.com has been like my go-to shop! If you purchase from both drugstore.com and beauty.com it comes as one shopping cart and one purchase – so I’ve got a feeling you’ll be making a purchase soon haha! I really like my EOS lip balms. I love the shape of them, they smell so good and they last for a really long time too. Buying them from drugstore.com makes them so affordable – I got a two pack in a Mothers Day special for under $6 =) Let me know what you end up buying!!!!
