EVE Lashes is probably going to be your next beauty subscription addiction. False lashes to your door, any style you want and however many you want. Meaning that you always have exactly what you need whether you are the kind of girl who doesn’t leave the house without a pair of flirty lashes on or if you save them just for special occasions (like me!) Genevieve from EVE Lashes hooked me up with a trial so I could see what it was all about and also so I could practice applying false lashes because I’m terrible at it!
To start with I’m a big fan of beauty subscription boxes which is what got me interested in EVE Lashes in the first place, I love coming home to a surprise parcel at the end of a long day! Although the thing I really like with this lash based beauty subscription is that you actually know exactly what you’re getting and there isn’t that issue of receiving a bunch of products which you don’t like or that don’t suit you.
♥ How does it work? EVE Lashes works by signing up online to receive a set amount and style of lashes each month to your door step, so you never end up lash-less. You get to choose exactly which type of lashes you want and you can change it up each month if you want to. On top of that it’s free shipping anywhere in NZ and you can cancel your subscription at any time – which are two things I rate pretty highly.
♥ My first impressions, firstly I found the site really easy to use and I like that there is a small range of lashes that go from natural to dramatic. When they arrived they were wrapped safely in tissue paper and my package was also sprinkled with silver glitter – win!
As I mentioned before I like to use false lashes mostly for special occasions as I am not a pro at putting them on which often leads to me totally stressing out and mucking up my eyeliner. So for a novice like me the flexible bands on the lashes made them easier to work with and apply. The lashes feel nice and were easy to trim down. I still needed a few attempts to get them in place, but it just shows that I need more practice. After reading one of the blogs on the EVE Lashes site about how to perfectly apply false lashes I am on the hunt for lash application tweezers to help me out.
I like that this business is owned and operated in NZ by a talented makeup artist and that along with the lash subscription the site also sells lash accessorises and the false lashes separately. So you can get your extra lash necessities and try out the lashes on their own before signing up to the subscription.
It’s a great product, a great idea and has all the extra bonuses I like (free shipping, get exactly what you want, customised, can cancel at anytime, NZ based). So it’s pretty cool all round!
