Liquid eye liner can be a bit of a bully at the best of times. Just when you think you’ve mastered it, suddenly it goes all nasty on you and hopefully you’re on your way to some kind of tiger safari or Amy Winehouse dress up party (you know those days when you were going for a cute little mini flick and then you realise that wing is like at least a centimetre thick?!?). Having these little memories in the back of my mind makes me even more thankful that there are liquid eye liners out there like Eye of Horus’s Liquid Define Liner, which is possibly the easiest liquid liner to use that I have ever tried! Seriously!
I am already a bit of a fan of Eye of Horus products for very good reason – they are all not tested on animals, have natural ingredients and are paraben free. After a horror story moment a few years ago connected to a chemical laden mascara and resulting in gigantic puff ball eyes (I had to wear sunglasses 24/7 for a week), I am very careful about anything going near that area, so if I say that this liner is okay for sensitive eyes then you definitely know that it’s okay! Also I can’t get enough of a product which makes promises and then actually lives up to them – non smudge, waterproof and instantly dries? Yes, yes and YES!
The fine felt tip pen style of the liner makes it really easy to apply, so you don’t have to break a sweat fretting over getting a nice smooth line. I really like to kind of build up my liquid liner to help minimise mistakes and check my look as I go along, with the fast drying of the product this was really easy to do as well.
I also found the level of inky-ness of Liquid Define to work really well for me. There’s no worry of getting a huge accidental blob of ink in the wrong place or having to push and drag the liner along to get out a bit of colour. Oh and while we are on the colour side of things, it is a lovely, smooth jet black that actually stays put and true to colour all day.
If you are a bit of a beginner in the liquid eye liner world, someone who is weary of what make up they put near their eyes or a big fan of felt tip pen style liners then this is the liner for you. It has replaced my main liquid eye liner (which in case you were wondering, was the Almay Liquid Eyeliner Pen), my Liquid Define lasts longer and is much less stressful to apply. Plus it’s just a super bad ass looking make up product – with all the black and gold, I love it!
