It’s almost Halloween time, so here’s my Halloween makeup inspo for 2016! I’ve gotta say whereas when I was younger my favourite thing about Halloween was all the candy, now it is by far seeing all these amazing looks and outfits. It’s the coolest thing to see when someone goes all out on their costume and character and totally nails it!
So, who are you taking Halloween inspiration from this year?
I’m obsessed, like seriously obsessed with @desiperkins. Not only is she a total babe but she is insanely talented. The way she achieves the melted look whether it’s melted skin or ice cream is amazing! I only recently came across Desi on social media but now she is one of the accounts I check regularly.
I have admired @annabellstyle ‘s unique style for awhile now. She’s a talented NZ makeup artist and hair stylist who always pulls off amazing looks. I feel like her Halloween looks are never too complicated and are done in a way where you can follow up really make them your own. I also love how she brings bright colours into her work!
@promisetamang is the queen of makeup transformations! I love how she uses complicated makeup techniques to trick the eye as well as showcasing a bunch of really cute and easier to do at home looks. The Hotel Translyvania look on the right is something you could pull off with short notice and a heavy black eye pencil.
Here we have three different amazing looks from three different artists. On the left is @ida_elina, a makeup artist based in Finland. I recently came across her account as she was inspiration for a look by Samantha from batalash. @glamnanne in the middle is someone who always amazes me with her halloween looks! Finally, on the right is @melcastaneda. She does incredibly bright and detailed makeup work which is so eye catching and beautiful. I love this Poison Ivy look she did.
And last, but not least, these two beauties! @shaaanxo (on the far left and far right) has become quite well known for her easy to recreate Halloween looks. Her blood splatter tutorial for this nurse gone bad look is straight forward and the final look is super effective. I also like how the scale effect on her Medusa look could work for a bunch of other characters too… I’m thinking glittery mermaids! @sallyjo in the centre has pushed your classic dark smokey eye into a cute bat look. This is another look which wouldn’t be too difficult to pull off last minute along with a draped black dress.
I’d love to know which Halloween look is your favourite so far?!
