The May Kira Kira Crate from Japan Crate was full of goodies! This month I received six full sized products along with the handy mini magazine which is full english instructions, product descriptions and beauty tutorials. I kind of purchased this box by mistake, however once it arrived I was so happy that I had kept my subscription going as these are all products I will happily try out and use.
First of all, if you want to know more about what Kira Kira Crate or Japan Crate is and how to get one click here to see my previous post which not only shows the contents of my first box but also includes all the need to know details (plus pricing!).
♥ Face products
This months box included three different face products. The first being a Konjac Sponge, which is something I have tried before and saw really good results from, so I’m glad to have a new one to start using as part of my face cleansing routine. Not sure what a Konjac Sponge is? Click here! The next product is a Soy Milk Yogurt Face Mask. It looks like a nice sheet mask and it is said that the soy milk helps to moisturise while the yogurt smooths your skin. I’m starting to get into quite a routine of using sheet face masks and this will be a great addition to my collection!
The final face product is the package you can see that has the ‘SOS’ on the top corner. It’s called a Tansan Kakumei Carbonated Water Face mask and I’ve never tried anything quite like this before. It contains two packets of powder which you mix into a bowl of water and you then dip your face into the water while the products fizz and bubble. The powders contain different vitamins and are also said to remove impurities. I am excited to try this out as it is definitely not your typical face mask, although I’m not sure i’ll be able to keep my face in the water for the recommended 3-5 minutes.
To be honest, when I opened my Kira Kira Crate this My Melody BB Cream was the first thing that caught my eye. The pink packaging is so damn cute and I’m just a sucker for pretty packaging. I haven’t checked the shade of the BB Cream yet but I can usually make most asian beauty balms work for me as I am quite pale. I like that it includes SPF and it looks like it could be quite a good travel product to take with me on my winter getaway.
I don’t own a bath so if I am every given a bath bomb I use it in a bucket of water as a foot spa. This is how I tried out the Rilakkuma Bath Ball. It’s fizzed all around, smelt nice and had a tiny little cute toy inside.
Lastly, I received the Lux Sakura Dream Body Soap which is quite a large sized body wash. It isn’t a super exciting product but it has a lovely flora scent and I’m sure it will come in handy when my current shower gel runs out.
I was really pleased with this months Kira Kira Crate, even though I did end up with it by mistake as I didn’t cancel my subscription in time. I have cancelled my subscription now, not because I was unhappy with anything but because I just have a lot of products right now and really don’t need any more! I’m also trying to save for a few holidays I have coming up, and more saving means more makeup shopping later!
