MAC Cosmetics Flamingo Park review

MAC flamingo park collection

MAC Cosmetics new collection Flamingo Park is out on March the 7th at selected locations. I was lucky enough to be sent a few products to review! This range is full of pinks and peaches which is totally my thing and it’s also extra special because Flamingo Park is limited edition. So if something catches your eye you’ll need to grab it quick, this collection is going to be crazy popular!

Glisten pretty on a sunny day with a Powder Blush, a fun way to bring delicious colour to your cheeks. Paint it pink and get your desserts anytime, but be ready to share!”

The Flamingo Park collection includes eye shadow, pigments, Studio Nail Lacquer, powder blushes, Beauty Powder, Technakohl Liner, lipstick, lip pencil and Cremesheen Glass. The lipsticks (8 in total) are a range of matte, cremesheen + pearl and amplified finishes. The collection covers all pinks from fuchsia to baby pink, reddish pinks to corals.

I was sent the above products to try out, Cremesheen Glass in ‘Such Sweeties’, Beauty Powder in ‘Sunny Surprise’ and the ‘Be Silly’ lipstick.

Such Sweeties is a pastel baby pink which is very similar to ‘Snob’, although I’m not much of a lip gloss person I love this shade so much that I will still wear it a lot. I really like putting a little on the centre of my lips (just under my cupids bow on my top lip and then directly below on my bottom lip) over my Saint Germain MAC lipstick for a bit of shine and it makes my lips look a touch fuller.

Be Silly is a matte finish hot fuchsia pink which is a little like Girl About Town but more bright. This is the kind of shade I wear all the time and this has already gone into my handbag for regular wear. I usually line my lips when using MAC matte lipsticks just to get them lasting a bit longer, which I’ll do with Be Silly.

I haven’t used a Beauty Powder before, but I love the idea of having a product which adds a subtle shimmer and glow to my face that isn’t as full on as the highlighters I own. Another thing I love about Beauty Powders is that they have multiple uses, you can use them lightly all over the face, as a blush or as a highlighter. Sunny Surprise is a very pretty peach shade which creates a really nice soft glimmer to the skin.

I am a huge fan of what I have tried so far of Flamingo Park, specifically because pink is my favourite colour and I love the girlish almost Alice and Wonderland theme the collection has to it. What do you think of it? Are you going to grab a piece or two from the limited edition collection?ย
