I just couldn’t finish off 2014 without one last MAC haul. Conveniently I decided to get my mum a few MAC goodies for Christmas, and therefore got myself a few items I had been wanting for awhile too. I purchased this haul all from maccosmetics.com which is the official MAC website and shipped it to NZ using YouShop. In the past I have used Nordstrom to buy MAC online (see my past hauls here!), but this time round the prices on both sites were exactly the same and Nordstrom was out of one of the shades I needed. Using the official site was easy and there were no issues using my YouShop postal address.
♥ I got….
1 x Sized-to-go Strobe Cream $10
2 x Pro Longwear Foundation NW15 $32 each
1 x Lipstick in Violetta $16
1 x Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation $27
1 x Sized-to-go False Lashes Mascara $10
1 x Sized-to-go Oil Control Lotion $10
All prices in USD
The sized-to-go range is the best way to try out new MAC products and are obviously great sized products for if you are travelling too, both of these purposes suit me perfectly and I feel like even though they are small they will last me awhile. I am excited to test out the mascara (firstly on my hand to check if I’m allergic or not) and if it doesn’t work out it’s all good at that sized-to-go price! The Strobe Cream is for my mum as I think it will work really nicely on her more dehydrated skin. I am hoping the Oil Control Lotion goes well under my Pro Longwear and helps control my T-zone.
MAC Pro Longwear Foundation is a product I use very often for full coverage and mine is starting to run out, so I grabbed a new one for me and one for mum as I found out she had been sneaking some of mine!
My friend Sophie who owns Makeup and Beauty by Sophie Tabakas and works at MAC (check out her work, it’s amazing!) suggested I try out the Studio Fix Powder. I have been turning more to powder for lighter coverage days and long days at work and I think this will work out perfectly for that. It’s reminded me that I need to use my Studio Fix liquid foundation more too.
Violetta, seriously, how could I go past this stunning purple lipstick and turn away? Many of you know that I have a bit of a purple lipstick obsession (check out my top purple shades here) and this one will definitely be added to the list.
Everything was packed very carefully and with thought by MAC in black tissue paper and shipped quickly to my YoShop address. Although my package arrived to me during the usual timeframe that YouShop give for american purchases (1-3 days processing at the warehouse and then 5-7 working days for shipping to NZ), it was a bit slower than they usually are. I put this down to all the Black Friday purchases and of course the silly season, which is cool but it was still really hard to wait a bit longer than normal!
I am going to give these babies a go over the next few days! I’d love to know your thoughts on these products of you have tried them?
