March Favourites!

March for me as been all about beautiful but quick makeup, and that’s reflected here in my March favourites! Not only has my job been hectic this month, but my skin has totally broken out making me return to my BB cream for everyday wear. For the month ahead I have decided that I need to really focus on clearing up my skin, this has led me to look at a few new avenues – more info to come soon!

♥ Lioele Triple the Solution BB Cream // This is an oldie, but a goodie! I have used this product on and off for ages and whenever I rediscover it I am always so pleased with the results. It’s light on the skin but has enough coverage to cover up my breakouts without needing to add concealer. It lasts all day once set with powder and actually feels like it’s doing good for my skin. You can’t beat the feeling of your skin being “moist as yogurt” haha!

♥ Benefit Hoola Bronzer // People have been recommending this bronzer to me for such a long time and I finally cracked. I love the matte shade of this bronzer and how it warms my face without shimmer or glitter. It blends into the skin easily and gives a subtle, healthy glow. Before purchasing Hoola I only used the Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer, however that hasn’t been touched since Hoola arrived!

Australis Velourlips – ‘Shang-Hi’ // This is a beautiful dark berry shade from the new Velourlips shade range for the autumn/winter season. As with the whole Velourlips range it applies smoothly and evenly. I am so impressed with the staying powder of this liquid lipstick! I wore it out to my besties birthday dinner last weekend and it lasted through pre-drinking, snacks, more drinking, dinner, cake and maybe another drink or two after that. No transfer whatsoever and it still looked perfect by the end of the night.

♥ Australis Cray for colour eye crayon- ‘soiling the fun’// This crayon has been my saviour in the mornings when I want a pretty, neutral eye for work that is going to be quick and easy to apply. The colour is beautiful, the product is smooth, doesn’t crease and applies in a few quick swipes. It also lasts all day long.

♥ Urban Decay De-slick makeup setting spray // I picked this mini spray up in Sephora while I was in Bangkok. I went for the smaller size because I just wanted to try it out, but I wish I had gone for the bigger one. This keeps my makeup in place on big nights out and keeps any oil or shine completely at bay. I previously have used the M.A.C Fix + spray which I also really like. Comparing them, I think that the UD spray is better at keeping oil away, but they are the same at keeping your makeup on and in place. I also prefer the bottle of the UD spray.

♥ Pretty Honest by Sali Hughes // I have been really into beauty reading lately and I am absolutely loving this book. I heard so many beauty bloggers rave about it that I just had to see for myself. It’s full of practical and clever advice which just makes sense. I borrowed this copy from the library but now I am ordering my own online because it’s due back but I can’t bare to be without it. I’ve also been reading a few issues of REMIX magazine lately, including their latest beauty issue with the babe Kylie Jenner on the cover!

What have been your favourite products in March? What are your beauty plans for April? Would you like me to share more about my new favourite book ‘Pretty Honest’?
