My favourite NYX product & NYX NZ news

Favourite NYX product

NYX has been a brand in my collection for a long time now, I have specifically always been a big fan of their lip products. Also now NYX is much more accessible than in the past with it being stocked at Farmers in Auckland CBD and in more stores to come. Today in celebration of NYX being available in more Farmers stores NZ wide from the 14th of June I wanted to show you my all time favourite NYX product – the NYX matte lipstick in the shade ‘natural’.

The NYX matte lipsticks are absolutely everything you want in a matte lipstick, colour with a strong matte finish which isn’t drying and is long lasting. It’s actually quite incredible how creamy their matte lipsticks are, they almost feel like a thick lip balm. Although I do find they can transfer a little onto cups and food the colour is pretty long lasting. I find one application can last almost a full day at work which I think is pretty decent. On top of that, the packaging is sleek and strong and there is a huge range of shades including nudes, pinks, purples, reds and even grey. My favourite shade ‘Natural’ is a perfect pinky nude mauve shade. nude lip swatches

The pricing differs depending on where you are purchasing from. In America an NYX lipstick will cost you around $6 USD, on (an american online makeup store which ships to NZ) one will cost you $8.97 NZD and here in NZ online you can find one at for $14.95 or in store or online at Farmers for $16.45. In the past when NYX was quite hard to find in NZ I use to buy my products from beauty joint, most recently however I have purchased in store at Farmers. Even though it isn’t the cheapest its easy and I get my Beauty Club points.

Other NYX products which I recommend are the Jumbo Eye Pencils (the ‘Milk’ shade and any of the copper/bronzes are my fav) and the powder blushes. The powder blush in the shade ‘taupe’ is a perfect contouring shade for those with pale skin. I also quite like the lip pencils, which come in 50 different shades and I have heard amazing things about the butter glosses, but gloss just isn’t really my thing.

NYX New Zealand

NYX kicked off in stores in NZ by opening in the new Farmers Queen Street store last year. Recently they announced that from the 14th of June NYX will roll out into 9 new Farmers stores! All the details are on the NYX New Zealand Instagram and the Farmers NZ one. I’ve heard rumours that this means NYX for Christchurch and Wellington – so let us know here if you see NYX pop up in your local store!
