Products for dry sensitive skin – tested by my dermatitis

products for sensitive skin Finding the right products for dry and sensitive skin can be really tricky and scary, you never know what you will and won’t react to and you also don’t want to be spending lots of money on a product of you aren’t going to end up being able to use it. For the last couple of years I’ve struggled with quite sensitive skin all over my body and dermatitis around my eyes and I’ve tried hundreds of different things to try and calm and cure it. Today I want to share with you a range of moisturisers and brands that have helped my skin immensely in the hope that they might help you too!

♥ Weleda Skin Food – for dry and rough skin

This moisturiser is full of natural ingredients and is quite a thick cream with a nice kind of plant scent. Its made to hydrate and calm rough areas of the body such as knees and elbows. On a regular basis I use this on really dry skin and rub it into my cuticles. However, when my dermatitis is bad I lather on a layer of Skin Food round my eyes and it helps get rid of my dermatitis super quick, faster than any prescription creams I’ve tried. I’m currently testing out Weleda’s new Almond Sensitive Body Care range and this is also super lovely and gentle.

Weleda Skin Food – cruelty free,  free from parabens, artificial preservatives, colours and fragrances, suitable for vegetarians. $13.90

rhino repair

♥ Rhino Repair by Oasis Beauty

Rhino Repair is one of those creams you can use for everything and anything. It has a nice creamy scent and has 12 different natural ingredients. It is so gentle and can be used absolutely anywhere, which has worked for me because it means it is safe to use around the eye area. It has even been used by people climbing Mt Everest because it works so well on chapped skin! Rhino Repair should be a household essential. Check out my full review of this beauty here.

Rhino Repair by Oasis Beauty – no parabens or artificial colours, based in NZ, suitable for vegetarians (contains manuka honey). $39.90

physiogel

♥ Physiogel Daily Moisture Therapy Lotion and Cream

This stuff is plain and simple, just the way I like it. I am currently using the lotion as my morning and night face moisturiser, although I prefer the cream for my face at night as it is thicker and feels richer on the skin (don’t you just hate losing things at your boyfriends house!). It’s a really gentle and hydrating formula that I can use on my skin no matter what kind of mood it’s in. I’ve tried a lot of products from this Physiogel range now and have liked every single one (have a look at my thoughts by clicking here), again they aren’t fancy but they do a damn good job.

Physiogel Daily Moisture Therapy – no fragrances, preservatives or colours, non-comedogenic. From $11.90
