Rachel Hunter’s Tour of Beauty is a brand new show coming to TV ONE and I was lucky enough to get a bit of a sneak preview of the very first episode.
The show caught my eye at first because : A) Rachel Hunter – I had been wondering what she was up to, and B) a tour around the world discovering different beauty ideas, looks and secrets is totally up my alley. Personally I have always been interested in overseas beauty trends and also hearing what other people and cultures consider as beautiful.
I don’t want to spoil it all for you, but I will let you in on a few things so you know what you can look forward to. First of all, France! Rachel kicks it off in France to try and figure out the French paradox – why is it that French people despite eating rich foods like cheese and pastries and drinking wine still always look so effortlessly chic and age fabulously?!
Beauty bloggers, fashionistas, a perfume expert, a stunning woman returning to modelling, and skin care professionals are just some of the people who feature in this episode showing Rachel (and us!) how the French do beauty.
One of my favourite parts is when Rachel visits an up-do hair salon. This is a place where you can drop in and pick a hairstyle from a huge range on a photo board outside the salon to get done. How handy would it be to have a place like this?!? You relax while the stylish hairdressers work their magic and then walk out with perfect hair ready for a big event…..someone needs to follow suit and set up something like that here!
Also, grapes. After watching this show I am needing way more grapes in my life – you’ll find out why!
You can catch Rachel’s Tour of Beauty this Wednesday night at 8pm on TV ONE – I am definitely hooked on this show now, and I’d love to know what you think of it too!
Over the weekend I am going to try out a few tips and tricks from Rachel’s Tour of Beauty – keep an eye on my Instagram (are you following me? @lauralovesbeautyblog) to see what I do! Let me know if you think I can pull off the French look?!
A special thanks to the people at TVNZ that organised for me to have a preview screening!
