On a whim I recently bought the Maybelline Master Fix Setting Powder, a new Maybelline product which is said to set and perfect. It’s a translucent powder which can be dusted lightly on top of your makeup to set your foundation. As with most setting powders, this product is mattifying to get rid of excess shine. Products which give my face a matte finish and keep the afternoon shiny disco ball face away are part of my daily makeup routine, so I’ve tried a fair few setting powders! I decided to review the Maybelline Master Fix Setting Powder against the rest. Continue reading
The MAC Cosmetics Fruity Juicy collection is out in all MAC Stores in NZ today. This is a collection I have had my eye on for a long time! The bright tropical theme is splashed over the packaging and the products, and can even be experience through a delicious coconut scent. This is by far the most fun and exciting collection I’ve seen from MAC this year and I was lucky enough to get my hands on one of the products a few weeks ago now, so I can confirm that this range 100% lives up to its bright hype! Essence Cosmetics is a super cute and affordable makeup brand from Europe which is currently stocked in New Zealand by Farmers. The range is bright, colourful and fun, as well as being completely cruelty free. Recently I’ve been testing out a few of their products, a mascara, concealer and mini makeup sponges, and here’s what I think! Continue reading
NYX has been a brand in my collection for a long time now, I have specifically always been a big fan of their lip products. Also now NYX is much more accessible than in the past with it being stocked at Farmers in Auckland CBD and in more stores to come. Today in celebration of NYX being available in more Farmers stores NZ wide from the 14th of June I wanted to show you my all time favourite NYX product – the NYX matte lipstick in the shade ‘natural’. With NYX hitting the shelves at the new Farmers Queen Street, nothing could hold me back from a NYX Haul. I really love NYX but because of the availability issue here in NZ I haven’t bought anything from the brand for quite awhile. We could say that I was well overdue for a bit of an NYX haul, so let’s have a look at what I got! If you want to know more about NYX coming in NZ click here for all the details. And if you are interested in what the pricing is like, scroll down to the bottom of the post to see what it all came to.
NYX hits New Zealand Stores next Thursday in Auckland. With the opening of the brand new Farmers on Queen Street comes NZ’s first ever NYX stand. I am so excited about this and can’t wait to not only see NYX in store, but also Continue reading
I’ll be honest, when I first saw the Lipidol After Shower oil I thought “is this just baby oil?” – and now I know that it kind of is, but also it kind of isn’t. This body oil is made to replace and lock in moisture after you get out of the hot shower (which we know can be pretty drying on the skin). I always have the best intentions of using body moisturiser after a shower but it hardly ever happens. I don’t know if it’s a time factor or just the effort, however I decided to buy the oil and really give it a good shot. The fact that it is from the makers of Bio-Oil was also quite a selling point to me and it seemed like it wouldn’t upset my sensitive skin. Continue reading
This Saturday I ended up grabbing a few items on a day out and about – which turned into a bit of an unexpected random weekend haul – but seriously almost every store I walked into was having a sale. I also haven’t gone out and purchased make up in what feels like truly forever as I have decided to be bit more careful with my money at the moment. But it’s cool right? Because almost everything was on sale (nod your head with me here). Any ways have a peek at the bargains I picked up! Continue reading
