L’Oreal Infallible 24H Matte Foundation review

L'Oreal Infallible 24H Matte Foundation

There has been a lot of chat about one of the newer L’Oreal foundations, the Infallible 24H-Matte foundation. I love a good matte foundation especially when it doesn’t cost a trillion dollars, so I decided to give it a go along with it’s partner in crime; the L’Oreal Infallible Mattifying Base. Turns out it has become my go-to foundation  for when I need full coverage, the primer however still needs some investigation. Continue reading

DB Cosmetics Long Wear 24 Hour foundation review

Long wear 24 hour foundation DB cosmetics I recently decided to pick up my first ever DB Cosmetics product after seeing it in a local store a few times and hearing some positive things about their Long Wear Foundation over on MUO. I’ll be honest, I was pretty unsure about it all as I’ve never heard much about the brand, haven’t seen much advertising for it and also it isn’t stocked in many locations. But I did know that it is pretty popular over in Australia and Britney Saunders had even done a tutorial just using the one brand – so I wandered over to the stand and went for the 24 Hour Long Wear Foundation, mostly because I was wanting full coverage and I liked the bottle (it reminds me of the Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation bottle and turns out many people think the DB foundation is a dupe for that!) Do you have back up beauty products?

MAC, Stila, Chi Chi, Loreal, ELF foundation

Do you have back up beauty products? Turns out, I do.

In fact I have more than I really realised. I’m one of those people that does’t like to be without something that I feel I’ll need at some point. Yes, some people may call this hoarding, but I really don’t like that term because these are just products I need to store until a time when I will totally, definitely use them. I’m also no crazy coupon-er (see Extreme Couponing), but that’s not to say I don’t take advantage of a good deal. Am I obsessive? Free Dictionary states that being ‘obsessive’ is to be “continually preoccupied with a particular activity, thing or person” – so use of this adjective with my collection of back up beauty products is not wrong.  Continue reading

Nordstorm Haul – New MAC and Clinique babies!

Nordstorm.com is a fabulous American website which sells a range of fashion and beauty products from a huge selection of designer and top end brands. I was first drawn to Nordstorm after deciding to do a bit of a MAC haul, but I also wanted to get a few other Clinique bits and bobs. The large range of make up brands means you can do a big shop all from one store, and with online shopping and shipping costs it makes so much more sense to do it all in one. Bonus – Nordstrom has no problems shipping to a postage forwarding service (aka YouShop) and you get to select free samples with your purchases, woo! Nordstorm is a great alternative store to Sephora, with all those issues we get trying to order from this side of the world =( And the prices are very reasonable, in fact I was blown over backwards with the Clinique prices compared to what we pay here.

Firstly, what I got! Continue reading
