Remington Straightening Brush Review

Remington straightening brush review

I’ve been straightening my hair for years now and I’ve used a wide range of flat irons and products along the way, but I’ve never used anything like the Remington Keratin and Argan Oil Straightening Brush. This straightener is a plug in device which straightens and smooths while you comb it through your hair just like using a normal paddle style hair brush. I was sceptical at how this would hold up against my beloved GHD’s, however I’ve found it does a few things that my GHD doesn’t. Continue reading

Remington Silk Italia Hair Dryer

Remington Silk Italia Hair dryer

The Remington Silk Italia Hair Dryer is my new favourite beauty tool. Nothing improves my mornings more than being able to dry my hair quickly and having it look and feel soft and silky before I rush out the door to work. For the past year or so I have gone through a range of pretty terrible hair dryers, including one which literally caught on fire while I was using it! So, when I was given the chance to try out this new Italian made Remington dryer I couldn’t wash my hair fast enough! Continue reading

Lush Damaged Hot Oil Treatment

Lush Damaged Hot oil treatment

The Lush Damaged Hot Oil Treatment is a new product created to help strengthen hair which is damaged from colouring, heat and excessive styling. Not only does it contain a powerhouse of moisturising ingredients including olive, avocado and almond oil, but it even has Kylie Jenner’s tick of approval (she used it recently in a series of Snap Chats sharing her pampering routine!) Although the product takes a little more work than your usual hair treatment, the results are exactly what I was after, smooth hair which feels hydrated and soft.  Continue reading

Washing my hair with lollies – New Lush Shampoo bars

shampoo bars I have always been intrigued by the idea of shampoo bars. After a lifetime of using the same kind of light coloured creamy liquid product to clean my hair I was keen to try out something new. The Lush Solid Shampoo Bars have a lot going for them. They are small and compact, self-preserving, without heavy and unnecessary packaging and come in a large range of types, scents and colours (just like lollies!) for every hair type. I’ll be honest here, it’s the range of bright colours and my favourite Lush scents that got me really excited. Also, did I mention that one bar can last you up to eighty washes? Continue reading

5 new beauty and life routines I’m following

5 new beauty

So I know it isn’t quite the new year, being March and all, but I feel like things are only just really settling down now and with that has come some new beauty and life routines. I am pretty impressed with myself that for the most part I have kept up with these new routines without too much suffering through internal motivational talks – you know what I’m talking about “come on, your skin will love you for it” “it’s just a few minutes and then you can watch the Kardashians”. It’s way easier now that my new routines are actually paying off – seeing results is the best motivation!

Paparazzi Perfect Hair Tips with Jason

jason hair care image Hi guys, I’m one of Laura’s 2 best-friends, Jason! Hair care is something that has always taken top priority in my life and I thought I’d share with you some of my tips and favourite products.

Some of you might not agree with the advice/routine I follow… everyone has different hair types and therefore it’s important to find what works best for you. For example, I wash my hair every morning – some will tell you this is a beauty faux pas, but I feel (and my hairdresser agrees) that for some it is necessary. Without this step in my morning routine my hair would be a greasy mess. Plus, using styling products in your hair (as I do) causes obvious over-night Continue reading

Do blondes really have more fun? A guide to maintaining blonde hair

blonde hair 1

Do blondes really have more fun?!? Short answer: yes! Real answer: Only when they aren’t busy using copious amounts of purple shampoo. Being a blonde can be tough work! Lighter coloured hair naturally shows flaws more easily so it needs extra care, and also there’s the case that there aren’t actually many ‘real’ blondes around meaning a lot of regular trips to the hairdressers. I myself have been a natural and unnatural blonde for many, many years and have definitely picked up a few tips along the way. Continue reading

May Favourites – hair care, coconuts and new make up

May favsThis month it was actually really difficult to chose just a few favourites because I’ll be honest, I’ve been on a bit of a spree. The kind of spree where each day you come home from work and there’s a little package waiting to be opened. And although I possibly don’t own up to all of those packages, (“oh what, oh that tiny package? Nah, that’s just something I ordered aaaaages ago”) I can definitely say that a package a day makes a beauty blogger’s month of May! Continue reading
