My Kailijumei Lipstick finally arrived! Can you believe there’s a real flower inside this?! These lipsticks, which come in a range of four shades, are definitely some of the prettiest and most unique lipsticks I have ever seen. The clear, almost jelly-look product is full of little gold flecks with what is said to be a real flower at the base. On contact with your skin the lipstick changes to its shade. Which in my case is ‘Barbie Doll Powder’, a glossy light pink. Continue reading
These are my favourite MAC Cosmetics products. The ones which I re-buy and use on a regular basis, the kind I would consider to be makeup essentials and the products I would recommend if someone was buying MAC products for the first time. MAC Cosmetics has such a huge range of products that I find it interesting my favourites are mostly base products and quite kind of plain. I guess it goes to show that the classics are often the best! Continue reading
MAC Cosmetics new collection Flamingo Park is out on March the 7th at selected locations. I was lucky enough to be sent a few products to review! This range is full of pinks and peaches which is totally my thing and it’s also extra special because Flamingo Park is limited edition. So if something catches your eye you’ll need to grab it quick, this collection is going to be crazy popular! Continue reading
You know when you see a lipstick and just fall in love with the shade, and then you get it home and realise that this isn’t the first time you fell in love with that colour. You already have a lipstick at home that’s pretty much exactly the same shade. Continue reading
Do you have back up beauty products? Turns out, I do.
In fact I have more than I really realised. I’m one of those people that does’t like to be without something that I feel I’ll need at some point. Yes, some people may call this hoarding, but I really don’t like that term because these are just products I need to store until a time when I will totally, definitely use them. I’m also no crazy coupon-er (see Extreme Couponing), but that’s not to say I don’t take advantage of a good deal. Am I obsessive? Free Dictionary states that being ‘obsessive’ is to be “continually preoccupied with a particular activity, thing or person” – so use of this adjective with my collection of back up beauty products is not wrong. I’ve had a few new things arrive recently and I wanted to share them with you, I’ve jumped into the Colourpop trend and decided to try something new to whiten my teeth.
My gorgeous friend Candy and I decided to go halves on a Colourpop order. I have been seeing this brand everywhere! And although I don’t want to be all same old, I had to try it for myself.
I grabbed a lippie stix, a lippie pencil, two eye shadows and a blush. So controlled right? I just wanted to order a few things that would give me a feel for the products and the brand (plus I am trying to not go overboard on the spending as holiday plans are unfolding!).
Above are the two lip products I bought. On the left is the lipstick in the shade ‘Brills’ and on the right, the lip pencil ‘pepper’. I really like the consistency Continue reading
Trust me, it’s not as much as you would expect!
Mario Dedivanovic was the make up artist/genius behind Kims look on her big day just a few weeks ago now. Mario recently released some details over Instagram about how he created Kims look. As I lusted over her flawless, fresh base, smooth smokey eyes and that pinky nude lip colour, I would have never have guessed that the products used were Continue reading
Nordstorm.com is a fabulous American website which sells a range of fashion and beauty products from a huge selection of designer and top end brands. I was first drawn to Nordstorm after deciding to do a bit of a MAC haul, but I also wanted to get a few other Clinique bits and bobs. The large range of make up brands means you can do a big shop all from one store, and with online shopping and shipping costs it makes so much more sense to do it all in one. Bonus – Nordstrom has no problems shipping to a postage forwarding service (aka YouShop) and you get to select free samples with your purchases, woo! Nordstorm is a great alternative store to Sephora, with all those issues we get trying to order from this side of the world =( And the prices are very reasonable, in fact I was blown over backwards with the Clinique prices compared to what we pay here.
Firstly, what I got! Continue reading
