Collection is here – and in your local supermarket NOW

This week, the UK’s third largest cosmetics brand arrives exclusively to countdown supermarkets in NZ. Collection cosmetics hold a large range of beautiful make up products which are not only beautiful, but affordable.  My favorite part about this line is the range of colors, and the fact that it is very conveniently sold at my local supermarket, Countdown, (just a quick trip down the health and beauty isle, thanks!) doodle-1016-money-bagsIs your morning face worth more than your evening face? What about your party face? Work face? First date face? So I was lucky enough to receive some inside information this week that firstly, e.l.f was confirmed to be arriving in NZ Kmart stores, and secondly that it would be on shelves in my local Kmart (Westfield, Albany, Auckland) by Friday night, Saturday morning at the latest. Imagine my surprise when taking a casual late night wonder through Kmart’s beauty section and almost practically walking into their new e.l.f stall!!!! Although it is not a huge stall or as wide of a selection as I was hoping for, there are some fantastic classic e.l.f products Continue reading

Sleek review and GIVEAWAY!!! =)

download (2) Slim, sleek, smooth palettes which open softly to a rainbow of scandalously pigmented smooth colours. Seductive pinks, shadowy bronzes and semitropical brights. I’m not sure if you can already tell, but I am so impressed with the quality of Sleek’s eye shadows that it’s making me feel all poetic. Jokes aside, I was really excited to try out an amazing array of Sleek palettes and a few blushers sent to me to review lovingly from No Little Fool (thanks girl!) I even have an AMAZING PRIZE PACK to give away featuring some of the palettes I reviewed – scroll to the bottom to see and pick your favorite! Continue reading

Painting my lids with MAC Paint Pots

MAC-Cosmetics-Paint-Pot-ReviewAwhile a go when I was asking around before a bit of a MAC haul for people’s essential holy grail MAC products, some recommended MAC’s Pro Long wear Paint Pot in ‘painterly’ and I will never be able to thank them enough. The Paint Pot is a highly pigmented eye colour/shadow which is very creamy and smooth in the pot but dries to a seamless coverage over the eye lid. Although it has that creamy formula and is cream based, it isn’t heavy and doesn’t cake. This makes it a must have eye product as an all over eye colour or a colour base. Continue reading

I still haven’t done it… but I want to so bad!

Using YouShop – my experiences and advice

Call it a first world problem, but I had been uhhmmm-ing and ahhhh-ing about using YouShop for a really long time, to the point where I literally couldn’t get it off my mind and Black Friday (American sale day of the year) deals were vibrating in my email inbox. YouShop is an amazing service, but it can be confusing and worrying at first, so I thought I would share my experience with you all.  Continue reading
