Last week I had a Colourpop haul arrive via YouShop. I decided to use YouShop to ship my Colourpop products to NZ because the Colourpop shipping price was way too expensive! There were mixed reviews online about whether using YouShop would actually end up any cheaper, and I was a little concerned about the length of time the package would take to get to me. After a few tiny hiccups however, I have a bunch of new beautiful Colourpop products to play with. Continue reading
It had been awhile since an E.L.F package turned up on my doorstep, so it was time for a haul. I has spotted that they had a few new brushes and it was also my besties b-day (she happens to also be an E.L.F fan) so it was just meant to be.
The brushes above are both new designs. The contouring brush is designed simply just for that. I love that there is finally a brush in this style from an affordable brand. On first impressions the bristles are soft and dense – exactly what I would expect from a contouring brush. Continue reading
I just couldn’t finish off 2014 without one last MAC haul. Conveniently I decided to get my mum a few MAC goodies for Christmas, and therefore got myself a few items I had been wanting for awhile too. I purchased this haul all from maccosmetics.com which is the official MAC website and shipped it to NZ using YouShop. In the past I have used Nordstrom to buy MAC online (see my past hauls here!), but this time round the prices on both sites were exactly the same and Nordstrom was out of one of the shades I needed. Using the official site was easy and there were no issues using my YouShop postal address.
♥ I got….
1 x Sized-to-go Strobe Cream $10
2 x Pro Longwear Foundation NW15 $32 each
1 x Lipstick in Violetta $16
1 x Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation $27
1 x Sized-to-go False Lashes Mascara $10
1 x Sized-to-go Oil Control Lotion $10
All prices in USD
The sized-to-go range is the best way to try out new MAC products and Continue reading
Drugstore.com and Beauty.com are seriously some of the easiest places online in the world to buy makeup and beauty products at really affordable prices. I do semi-regular hauls from drugstore.com to stock up on bits and bobs that I use all the time (shampoo for Yee, EOS lip balms), and now and then I’ll add in something a bit more exciting from beauty.com. The cool thing about these two sites is that they both stock different products – drug store items and then more high end, but you can purchase from both into one cart, one transaction and one package.
I recently took advantage of the dual site system in a mini haul. I was dieing, literally dieing without any EOS lip balm in my life Continue reading
Once you start buying make up and beauty products online, you realise how insanely expensive products can be in stores here in NZ – the price difference can be heartbreaking. Now it is a hugely rare occasion for me to actually purchase a product in store. Of course there are pro’s and con’s to online shopping – con: online shop could just be a creepy man in his basement collecting money from unsuspecting beauty lovers, you have to wait for your package to arrive – BUT I really think that 99% of the time buying online totally pays off! So if you come armed with a debit card, credit card or PayPal account, are sitting at your computer ready to go and have a little patience to wait for the shipping THEN READ ON MY SHOPPING FRIEND and have a look at my top online beauty shops! Drugstore.com is an American website which sells mainly health, fitness and beauty products including a huge range of make up brands at super decent prices. Overall the prices even after paying for YouShop shipping and changing currency are still cheaper than if I went down the road to buy the product, and that’s even without using a discount code or shopping in a sale. If you are starting to feel a little itch of excitement after reading that sentence then you are definitely in the right place… read on friend! Continue reading
Nordstorm.com is a fabulous American website which sells a range of fashion and beauty products from a huge selection of designer and top end brands. I was first drawn to Nordstorm after deciding to do a bit of a MAC haul, but I also wanted to get a few other Clinique bits and bobs. The large range of make up brands means you can do a big shop all from one store, and with online shopping and shipping costs it makes so much more sense to do it all in one. Bonus – Nordstrom has no problems shipping to a postage forwarding service (aka YouShop) and you get to select free samples with your purchases, woo! Nordstorm is a great alternative store to Sephora, with all those issues we get trying to order from this side of the world =( And the prices are very reasonable, in fact I was blown over backwards with the Clinique prices compared to what we pay here.
Firstly, what I got! Continue reading
The excitement and general jolly-ness of purchasing something online makes me all warm and toasty inside. I generally think very carefully about my online purchases and spend a lot of time shopping around to get the best deal, so when I finally decide to click that ‘check out’ button you know something good is going down (to the local or not so local post shop). That happy heart rate increases again as soon as you get a friendly ‘your parcel is on it’s way’ message, but then comes the dark hour/days/weeks/omg please no not months of waiting. And waiting, and waiting. Have a look at my guide/list of how to get through this troubling time! Continue reading
I recently received my large-ish haul from eyeslipsface.com, I did this order when e.l.f had their massive 50% off sale, which obviously was an opportunity I just couldn’t pass up. eyeslipsface.com (which is the official American website for e.l.f) actually has the best sales ever, there are several sales a week, and they are always worth your time, for example, 30-50% off or spend $30 and receive a free 14 piece brush set – yup, amazing! Although e.l.f Continue reading
Call it a first world problem, but I had been uhhmmm-ing and ahhhh-ing about using YouShop for a really long time, to the point where I literally couldn’t get it off my mind and Black Friday (American sale day of the year) deals were vibrating in my email inbox. YouShop is an amazing service, but it can be confusing and worrying at first, so I thought I would share my experience with you all. Continue reading
