Top Beauty Products of 2016 – Part 2

Here is Part 2 of my top beauty products of 2016. In Part 1 I focused more on my base and face products and found I am a bit of a creature of habit when it comes to my favourites. Today I’m sharing eye and lip products along with a bit of skincare. There’s a real mixture of brands here, are you the same or do you tend to stick to the same brand for a particular part of the face?

♥ Top Concealer: Collection Cosmetics Lasting Perfection Concealer

This concealer is affordable, easy to use, gives good coverage and the tube lasts a decent amount of time. I use the lightest shade in the range and it works well to cover up redness and any other imperfections. Although I should note that for under my eyes I find the MAC Pro Longwear concealer works best as it sits in my creases less.

♥ Top Eye Shadows:Colourpop Super Shock Shadows

I was never a fan of single shadows until I brought my first Super Shock Shadows, and now I’m obsessed. Colourpop has such a huge range of shades and finishes and they are all so creamy and easy to blend that they have definitely become my most used eye products. At $5 USD each I have found myself with quite a collection of them now too. My most recent purchase of them was a part of the Hello Kitty Colourpop Collection which you can check out, here

♥ Top Liquid Eye Liner: Stila Stay All Day Waterproof

This has been my favourite for a long time now. It lasts through absolutely everything and stays in place every time. Although I still haven’t completely mastered getting two perfectly matching lines every time, the style of the pen definitely makes it as easy as possible.

♥ Top Liquid Lipstick: Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Serenity

This shade is a a really great day to day shade for more neutral or natural looking makeup. The wand makes the product really easy to apply (especially in the corners of your mouth) and gives you a tidy line. As I often wear this to work and find myself applying it in the rear view mirror at the traffic lights I can tell you it’s practically mistake proof! The formula is as described, matte but not drying at all and it lasts for most of the day. I’m keen to expand my collection of this range.

♥ Top Lipstick: Anything by MAC

When it comes to traditional style lipsticks I just can’t get past MAC. The range of colours and finishes are overwhelmingly beautiful and I am addicted to their vanilla scent. I quite enjoy collecting MAC lipsticks, and if you’ve seen my recent pink MAC lipstick collection post you’ll know there’s a particular shade I always go for. My most used at the moment are Snob and Velvet Teddy.

♥ Top Makeup Remover: Holika Holika Soda Pore BB Deep Cleanser

This makeup remover is an oil based product which breaks down your makeup super fast making removal quick and easy. The thing that sets this Korean beauty product apart from the rest is how gentle it is on my eyes and it’s delicious orange soda pop scent. You also only need about a 20 cent coin to cover your whole face. I did a collaboration not so long ago with Korean Kiwi Beauty and this product has definitely ben my most loved and used so far.

What do you think about my top picks of 2016? Do we share any of your favourites or have I completely missed something out?
