Wet n Wild Unicorn Glow Collection

Wet n Wild Unicorn Glow Collection

The Wet n Wild Unicorn Glow Collection is a limited edition range full of glitter, shimmer and magic. As a long time fan of the Wet n Wild MegaLast Lip Colours, not only was I super excited to see the brand recently come to Farmers but also keen to see what collections they would bring to our shores. I was lucky to be sent the new range last week to try out.

Included in the range are 3 Colour Icon Rainbow Highlighters. These are full of shimmer whilst having a smooth powder finish. I like that you can use one of the shades featured in each ‘rainbow’ for a more subtle look or go all out and take a swirl of the whole pan. The rainbow highlighter in the shade ‘Unicorn Glow’ is the stand out of the range, however ‘Bronze Over’ gives a really nice bronze glow to your cheeks. ‘Everlasting Glow’ is the paler of the three and gives a nice light shimmer depending on how much is applied.

I have to confess, I have actually never tried using a loose pigment as I have always assumed they would be too messy. But now that I have a few to play with I can definitely see the appeal. The Colour Icon Loose Pigments sparkling shades are really pretty and I was surprised again at the smooth texture (I always worry that glittery products will be annoyingly chunky). I can’t see myself implementing these into any of my regular beauty routines, but they will be great to have for special occasions.

No range would be complete without a lip product, so the Unicorn Glow Collection includes two Mega Last Iridescent Lip Colours. I mentioned before that I am a fan of the Mega Last Lip Colours, they are so affordable and their matte shades last forever. These shimmery shades are not something I would usually reach for, but I am going to try the white shimmer shade over one of my very matte lipsticks just under my cupids bow as a highlight.

The Unicorn Highlighting Brush is just so damn pretty. The tapered ‘unicorn horn’ handle is comfortable to hold and easy to use. The synthetic fibres are light and blend highlight across your cheeks seamlessly. This Highlighting Brush is the icing on the cake with this collection. The brush range on the Wet n Wild stand at Farmers is almost always completely sold out, so this is something you’ll need to grab quick!

Overall I think that the Unicorn Glow Collection is a really fun edition to an up and coming brand in NZ. It’s also perfect timing for summer and festival makeup looks! Another major plus is that Wet n Wild is 100% cruelty free.

The Wet n Wild Unicorn Glow Collection, as well as the rest of the Wet n Wild range, is available at Farmers (in store and online) now. It ranges in price from $6.99 – $13.99. You can also see a much wider range of Wet n Wild products at beautyjoint.com, an American online store which ships to NZ and where I got my very first Wet n Wild products from!
