Here is Part 2 of my top beauty products of 2016. In Part 1 I focused more on my base and face products and found I am a bit of a creature of habit when it comes to my favourites. Today I’m sharing eye and lip products along with a bit of skincare. There’s a real mixture of brands here, are you the same or do you tend to stick to the same brand for a particular part of the face? Continue reading
Today I’m sharing my top beauty products of 2016! 2016 was a big year for beauty, there was sandbagging, strobing, spray on nail polish, lipsticks with real flowers inside them and who can mention 2016 beauty trends without giving Kylie and her Lip Kits a wink? I tried out quite a lot of new products and brands in 2016, but reviewing my favourites is quite interesting as I can see I have some ultimate favourites which may never change! However, I am very open to finding new favourite products in 2017! This is part 1 featuring mainly face and base products. Continue reading
Haute Dogs and Vamplify are two new releases from MAC this September. Today I’m giving you all the info you need about these two beauties and when and where you can get your hands on them! Continue reading
Recently I sat down and thought about what beauty products I consider absolute essentials, and I decided on these final 7. In my opinion these products need beautiful big gold medals and a life time supply of chocolate chip cookies (what a prize right?!) Nothing beats them, and without these essentials my routines just wouldn’t be the same.
♥ Tangle Teezer – The best hair brush I have ever tried!
This brush keeps my hair smooth and completely knot free, as well as being lightweight and easy to take around with me. My purchased my current Tangle Teezer about 2 years ago now and it is still in perfect condition, they are built to withstand a bit of chucking around into bags, drawers and bathroom cupboards. No matter how many products I try and buy there are certain things that I keep buying over and over again, why? Because they are damn good! Isn’t it funny that even when you have quite a selection of products to choose from there will always be that one that you’ll choose first over the others. Continue reading
March for me as been all about beautiful but quick makeup, and that’s reflected here in my March favourites! Not only has my job been hectic this month, but my skin has totally broken out making me return to my BB cream for everyday wear. For the month ahead I have decided that I need to really focus on clearing up my skin, this has led me to look at a few new avenues – more info to come soon!
I have been super lucky lately with the fact that so many of the products I have tried recently have turned out to be major successes. Hence I am back into my monthly favourites with a real bang! February sees quite a range of mostly new (for me) beauty products and also a few rediscoveries. Let’s get into it!! Continue reading
Instagram is one of my main sources of daily beauty inspiration. I love scrolling through my news feed and seeing amazing new makeup looks, products and outfit ideas. Below are some of my favourite beauty Instagram accounts which you need to be following!
♥ Jeffreestar is someone who I have been following for a long time. He is an amazing makeup artist and now has his own cosmetics line (find out about it here!) which I am dieing to try out!

Not being able to wear makeup for half of the month has really forced me back to concentrating on the basics of looking after my skin, hair and tools. I have had to be really careful with what I use around my eyes especially (if you haven’t read about my eye reaction drama click here) so more natural products have been my go to! I also over the last few months have become obsessed with Complexions – a brand new NZ online store that stocks the most amazing products, many of which are usually quite difficult to find close to home.
♥ Bdellium Tools Makeup brushes
Believe it or not, but lately I have been totally calming it down with my make up purchases. After reading Hyacinth Girls post about spending money on beauty products as a beauty blogger – I had a bit of a moment. You know when you see a meme on Facebook and you’re like “whoa, this is totally my life, they wrote this about me!” It was one of those moments. So although I’m not going all ‘Project Pan’ (if you wanna know more about that ask me below – i’m writing a post on it soon) I am being more thoughtful about my purchases. This makes this months favourites even more special! Because they are carefully chosen and fully loved products. Continue reading
